TPYS is committed to engaging youth and their families/caregivers as partners to help us shape, develop and improve our services. We believe that diversity strengthens our organization, and that it is important that the youth and families/caregivers we serve feel welcomed, heard and included. We believe youth and families/caregivers are equal partners and contributors in addressing and making decisions about issues that affect them personally and/or that they believe to be important. Whether at an individual or organizational level, we provide youth and their families/caregivers with information and supports to assist them in their involvement and engagement. We are committed to ensuring the safety and emotional well-being of youth and young adults who are engaged within our agency.
Youth who are interested in providing feedback or suggestions, or joining our Youth Engagement Committee, can connect with any one of our staff, or contact our Intake Coordinator at 416-925-9250 ext. 224.
Not only will you have a big part in planning your treatment, but your involvement on the committee will provide feedback to TPYS, so you help other youth who come through our doors. This group also advocates for issues that affect youth in general. It can be a really rewarding experience.
